Simpler Regulations, Specific Plans: What Small Business Owners Want to Hear from Obama, Romney
Small businesses will be watching the debate Wednesday night with a critical eye, looking for specific plans from the candidate on how to fix the economy. Specifically, they will be watching to see what plans Obama and Romney will have for reforming the regulatory environment to make runing a business less expensive and difficult. Small business owners will also be watching to see how the candidates build business confidence. Specific policy discussions will go a long way towards winning over voters.
Voters are split into two general catagories: voting for Romney because they feel that Obama is anti-business, or voting for Obama because they feel that Romney doesn't have a good economic plan, or won't raise taxes on the wealthy, with the latter being the stronger sentiment. The debates will underscore whether or not Obama really does value small businesses, and whether Romney is willing to turn against the upper class.
