Marketing Tips for the Book-Smart, Street-Smart Entrepreneur
One of the traits of successful business leaders is the desire to keep educating themselves. Every great leader you can think of had an innate desire to learn more and broaden his or her knowledge base. Great leaders are always reading, always attending workshops, and then when that leader gets to the stage of leading a major corporation, they hire business coaches and life coaches. That's one of the reasons I love my job today. I'm always reading and learning and educating myself on leadership, marketings, sales, small business, politics, tax reform, and technology.
This article discusses several great resources you can utilize to gain more knowledge in marketing to your clients. You can use the Constat Contact Learning Center, workshops, online webinars, doing that thing called reading, to those things called books, if you can remember what that was like back in the stone age of the early 2000s. And then perhaps most importantly, learn from your competition and your customers. Learn what your competitors are doing that works. Learn where they fail and capitalize on that. Learn what your clients like and what they don't like, and adjust accordingly. Business is always trying to teach you something. Those that are successful can process these lessons and adapt, and those that fail are the ones that refuse to learn and stay set in their old ways.
Which one will you be?
