Nick Saban's leadership has never been about results. His leadership has been about the process that leads to results. Many leaders today focus on the results of a project, not how to get there. The great leaders of today focus on the next step, improving the daily process of getting to the results. The old saying says "how you practice is how you play." Often today, employers are so focused on the play, the results, and the showtime, that they forget to underscore the process of practice. Getting to work on time. Developing good teamwork. Putting in place a good routine for accomplishing the daily tasks that lead to greatness. And most of all, emphasizing effort. When you bring in good employees, and emphasize effort, then there is really no limit to what you can achieve. 

When you're leading a team or a business, develop a culture of dedication to the process. Inspire your employees to focus on effort by focusing on effort yourself. Once you have that culture, all you have to do is pick a goal, and begin working.
