To be a successful leader, courage will be required. Leading a company into uncharted territory, risking personal financial security and comfort is not for the faint of heart. There are many kinds of courage that will be required of anyone leading a team of people in business. Physical courage will be needed, when facing the challenges of not having enough to eat, or enough comfort. Intellectual challenge will be needed when pursuing a new idea or concept that everybody rejects. Moral and emotional courage are needed to stand up for your beliefs and your standards when everybody else is telling you to take the easy way out. 

Without courage, you will not accomplish the things necessary to grow your businesses and succeed. Courage is an ingredient of every succesful person. You cannot look at one person who has beensuccessful and say "That person never faced adversity. He never faced a challenge and accepted it." If you want to be that kind of successful leader, then steel yourself and prepare for the challenges.
