Dems and GOP Talk About Helping Small Business But Both Party with Corporate Cash

At both the Republican National Convention in Tampa Florida and the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte North Carolina a common theme was easily observed. That is that they both want to convince small business owners that they are the party that is the true friend to small business and that they have the plan that will best benefit them. Each party has a significantly different approach to helping small business but again neither side is shy about expressing how they have small business owners’ backs. Politically this is an obvious choice because small business owner make up over 90% of the employing companies in America and currently employ of half of the nation’s workforce. That means small business owners and employees who work for small business owners make up a substantial portion of the voting population. All of this talk from both sides about supporting small businesses may be nothing more that the political ruse. Indeed, as ABC’s investigative team found, both political parties have received large donations from big corporations whom also throw lavish parties during the convention. At these parties, local small business owners who came to the convention to support their candidate are not allowed into the venues but only wealthy backers and highest donators that typically flew in private jets to the event are given access.
